Sacrifice Of Fools (2)

Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; *and draw near to hear* rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.

[Ecclesiastes 5:1]

Another advice The Preacher has given is that we should be eager to hear the Word of God when we go to church.

The Word of God is His creative force. Everything God does is by His Word. John tells us that without the Word, nothing was created. Our healing, miracles etc. are all through the Word. As a result, the enemy fights the hearing of the Word vehemently.

Some people would participate in praises and worship vigorously; only to sleep throughout the sermon. Some intellectuals mark the grammar of Preacher instead of fishing out for the substance of the message.

Others are concerned about the outlook of the preacher, the quality of the fabric, the footwear, watch etc. They get offended because the preacher looks either too cheap or expensive or the colour combination is problematic.

If we do all these things and more, but don’t listen to the Word to catch a revelation, and then give offerings, then we’ve given the sacrifice of fools. That shall not be our portion.

The Lord open our spiritual understanding so we see wondrous things out of His Book in the Name of Jesus. Amen
