6 “A son honours his father and a servant his master.

If then I am the Father,Where is My honour? And if I am a Master,Where is My reverence?Says the Lord of hosts to you priests who despise My name. Yet you say, ‘In what way have we despised Your name?’

7 “You offer defiled food on My altar,But say,‘In what way have we defiled You?’ By saying,‘The table of the Lord is contemptible.’

8 And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice,Is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, Is it not evil?Offer it then to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you favourably?”Says the Lord of hosts.

[Malachi 1:6-8]

This is just a supplementary note to what we discussed earlier on.

When we give to God what is defiled, we’ve given sacrifice of fools. Most of the time, we think we’re giving to the pastor or the church or to the poor; that’s why we  comfortably give substandard gifts to God, be it money, goods,  services or talents. The day we understand that the clothing, food, shoes money, mattresses, medicines etc. that we’re giving is for God Himself, our perspective will change.

God has provided the test for our offerings. We need to ask ourselves whether our President, MP, DCE, Minister, CEO etc. will like what we want to give to God. If they won’t like the half-bow shoe or the torn and faded dress, then we shouldn’t expect God to accept them and bless us.God has disguised Himself into a poor man and asking you for help.  It’s a test, don’t fail, please. No more giving of sacrifices of fools in the Name of Jesus. Amen
